title Ave Mariadescription Mural in unknown media on the face of a large boulder depicts la Virgen de Guadalupe. Surrounding the mural is a wooden frame of paneling and latticework that has been painted red, white, and green. A dove and the words "Ave Maria" are painted above the image. Santero Triptych
title Santero Triptychdescription Cat.12 078 From Santos de New Mexico Exhibition at Galería de la Raza, organized by René Yáñez and Ralph Maradiaga. Although not a triptych in the traditional sense, this work is composed of three individual sculptures that, as an ensemble, form one coherent artwork. The figure on the right is the Virgin Mary, center is the crucified Christ, and left is probably Mary Magdalene. Text on upper portion of cross reads, "INRI".
