"'Chacahua' is a fisherman's village in the State of Oaxaca, México. It is surrounded by the sea and salt lagoons full of animal and vegetation life. It's magic comes from teh harmonie (sic.) people have with their ambiance, so I wanted to rpresent (sic.) it, talking in my own language (visually) about this. Also the composition rmindes (sic.) of the way ancient people (prehispanics) used to describe their lives on 'amatl' (amate) paper called codices." C. Sánchez Duarte. Colors used: 1. Trans cyan, 2. Trans primrose yell (sic.), 3. Blend; red + orange, 4. Blend: rose + purple, 5. Emerald green, 6. Indigo.
A multiple perspective and visionary image of the Earth framed by a bigger black box with green free-floating shapes. The composition shows the moon and sky with elongated cloud-like shapes and birds, and the rounded edge of the ocean connecting with the land. On the top of a hill is a light house accesible through a meandrous red road. Both hill and land are see-through and reveal a variety of animals--turtles, fish, octopuss, snakes, crocodiles, and other strange figures. One can appreciate as well a small cottage, palm or coconut trees, flowers and other strange vegetation.
